For more details on the benefits of Thai Bodywork or Thai Massage this post should help.

Firstly try to arrive a couple of minutes early, it seems a simple request but it’s amazing how many people arrive late and lose part of their Thai bodywork session.

Secondly what to wear for Thai bodywork – well the good news is that normally you would remain fully clothed for standard treatments. So a T-shirt rather than a vest top is ideal and some yoga leggings for the legs. If you are having a back treatment and female, you may be asked to remove your bra, but you keep your T-shirt on as massage is completed through the clothes. However, occasionally you will be asked to remove an item of clothing, but that is a rare occurrence and would be for a specific treatment.

If you have long hair please can you bring a hairband so you can wear it in a ponytail – when Thai Bodywork is completed it is good for the practitioner to be able to work unimpeded.

If you want a deeper experience when releasing the neck occasionally massage balm is used to help lengthen the benefits gained from the treatment.

You will be asked for feedback during the process, this is to ensure that you are comfortable and the treatment is an enjoyable peaceful time for you – we want you to gain the maximum benefit from your time with us and believe massage is a two way conversation.

The treatment is normally completed on the floor on a comfortable mat. Cushions are provided for your comfort as we want your Thai Massage to be enjoyable as well as effective. Your massage practitioner will move around you and work on your body from the outside in.

After your session it is important that you remain well hydrated, our clients often feedback that they get thirsty 60 – 90 minutes after their Bodywork, so carry some water with you.

You might get the feeling of ‘lightness’ where you have been treated, it is due to the techniques we use and some of the benefits from Thai Bodywork – enjoy the after effects.
